• How to use.
ToScrap 1.1.0 is a Drag&Drop application. It works, currently, only with files of type 'TEXT', 'ttro','sfil', 'PICT'.
ToScrap 1.1.0 copies data from dragged file directly into clipboard without open it. In other words, if you drag, for example, a 'PICT' file on ToScrap 1.1.0 icon, the PICT will be copied into Clipboard, but the file containing the PICT will remain closed. The same for 'TEXT', 'ttro' and 'sfil' files.
The data copied can be pasted, naturally, following the usual procedure, but ToScrap 1.1.0 is very useful to check, quickly, the contents of files. For example if you leave opened the Clipboard window then drag a 'TEXT' file on ToScrap 1.1.0 icon, you can read the text, comfortably and fast, without use a word processor...;-)
When you drag a file on its icon, ToScrap 1.1.0 attempts to optimize the system's memory, before to copy data into clipboard, but if you want to drag very large files, you should increase the memory partition of ToScrap 1.1.0 (through "Get Info…" from Finder's File menu after selecting ToScrap 1.1.0 icon).
There's another nice and useful feature: from ToScrap 1.1.0 about box you can gather info about current scrap file, also you can manage some its aspect, specifically clear the Scrap, read the Scrap into memory and put the Scrap on disk.

ToScrap 1.1.0 requires at least System 7 to run.

If you don’t pay for shareware software today, you will pay much more tomorrow for exactly the same features (but enclosed in a 'nice' commercial box, with a 'friendly' copy protection and an 'attractive' serial number...).
